AASM has membership opportunities to meet the needs of all those in the field of sleep medicine. Click below to find out more information about specific professional association membership categories.
The AASM Membership term runs on a calendar year basis (January to December). The pricing below is valid from October 1, 2021 – May 31, 2022.
$50 – $250
- Must hold an MD, DO, PhD, DDS, DNP, or other healthcare doctoral degree and be active in sleep disorders medicine. ($250)
- Full voting privileges
- Full Members also include the following descriptions with special dues rates:
- U.S. based physicians participating in an ACGME-accredited sleep medicine fellowship training program, or similar training program. Verification required. ($50)
- Physicians less than three years removed from a fellowship training program. Verification required. ($125)
- Retired individuals who are 65 or older and working zero hours per week in the field of sleep medicine. No voting privileges. ($100)
$415 – Dual Membership
Reduced rates are available when you join as a dual Full/Regular member of both the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and Sleep Research Society (SRS). Through membership with the SRS you will join scientific investigators who educate and research sleep and circadian science. See a full list ofSRS member benefits
Save $50 off your combined sleep medicine professional association membership dues when you join as a Regular member of both societies (Young physicians ages 35 or under receive a $30 SRS discount).
$100 – 200
- For Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Sleep Technologists, Respiratory Therapists, Office/Center Managers, Medical Assistants, or other professionals as approved by the Board of Directors.
- No voting privileges
- Discounted membership pricing ($100) available to staff who are employed by an AASM Accredited Facility Member

NEW FOR 2022:AASM Student and Resident membership is now free!
- Must be in formal training, such as medical school, residency, a post-doctoral program, a master’s degree program, a non-sleep medicine fellowship program, a PhD program, or similar program as approved by the Board of Directors.
- No voting privileges
- Required: a letter of verification from your program director/registrar verifying your student status and expected graduation year within 2 weeks of application (memberships will remain inactive until verification is received)
$250
- For individuals who are not eligible for other membership categories and have a professional interest in sleep medicine.
- No voting privileges
$25 – $250
- For individuals who reside outside of the United States. Dues are based upon your country’s World Bank income category.
- Applicant’s mailing address must be located in thislist of eligible countriesto receive the discounted dues rate
- No voting rights
$0 – $125
- For individuals who have requested and been approved for dues assistance due to special circumstances.
- No voting privileges
- To apply, submit a written letter describing the hardship that necessitates such application to be reviewed by the Board of Directors by email tomembership@www.docksidequiltgallery.com.
